My Year In Review
2020. What a year. A lot has happened during this year. I will recap some things and reflect on it. As we know in March, COVID lockdowns happened. I live in New York City which was the epicenter of the pandemic in the United States. It was a major adjustment for me. During that I worked virtually at my job. Then over the summer I got a call from my boss in which she told me that I wasn’t performing well in my role, to make a long story short I did not have a job.
During that time before my job transition I had a nervous breakdown and checked into the hospital. By the fall I started to do substitute teaching then the Mayor of New York City declared all public schools to be remote, once again I am out of work.
Currently I am looking for a job in the media field. It is very frustrating and annoying but I must press on. What I have learned from 2020 is to be prepared for what life throws at you. Also to be resilient in the face of adversity. This was a hard and dark year for me. I am trusting the Most High and learning to prepare for the best of days and expect the worst.
