The Ideas Are Coming and Flowing but How Productive Is A Creative?

Being a creative is an exciting thing. However, it can be very stressful. An overflow of ideas and projects can blow up in your face. Ideas are great but the execution is key. How do all these ideas get executed in the time you have. We have 24 hours in a day. Seven days in a week. 365 days in a year. Time waits for no one. The connection between ideas and execution is how productive you are. Are you busy or are you getting your work done? This is what I wonder all the time as a creative.

It has been a year since I launched this blog and I have learned so much about productivity. Some things have worked and some things have not. It is an ongoing journey. What has helped me with this productivity journey? Doing what is necessary. Less is more. Before launching my blog last year, I was contemplating posting every day. However, I think this is unrealistic for me. It would look like I am very busy but it would work against me. It takes a lot of planning to write this blog and also juggling work and most recently grad school. Also, I have learned to create a routine every day. This means doing my devotion, consuming media and getting into writing. This has been my productivity mindset for the most part. At times I fall off but I am learning to build habits that make me productive and not busy. Less is more is really have been my mantra with productivity. I only do things that I feel are very important and urgent to my goals and objectives.

The weather is getting warmer soon and I would love to work on more projects to elevate my personal brand and establish my media career. I am going to continue to work on my productivity. To my fellow creative how are you productive? What are some tools you use? Feel free to comment below.
